Congregational Day of Fasting
As a congregation we desire to seek the Lord and ask His blessing upon our ministry. Fasting is Biblical, and very appropriate at times of need and preparation. Below is information that is helpful to you as you fast.
(Our Congregational Day of Prayer and Fasting was on Feb. 26 & 27, 2010)
Friday, Feb. 26th – Saturday, Feb. 27th
In Scripture: to fast is normal, personal and occasional, as the need arises. The Saving Grace Congregational 24hr. Fast is for a time of special need. We want to call upon the Lord together for the Faith Walk of both our congregation and our members’ needs.
Put yourself on a Schedule:
2Tim.1:7-8 –Spirit of power and love and discipline. For maximum spiritual benefit set aside ample time to be alone with the Lord. The more time you spend with Him, the more meaningful your fast will be. Try replacing your eating time with prayer and Bible study.
Expect Results:
If you sincerely humble yourself before the Lord, repent, pray and seek God’s face. And if you meditate on His Word, you will experience a heightened awareness of His presence. John 14:21
